Waste Water Evaporators

The Ecology Evaporator range are based on their industry leading Fog Cannon technology. Using their knowledge in creating mist and throwing it over large areas Ecology have developed units designed specifically for evaporation.

There are 5 factors which impact the evaporation from spray systems:

• air temperature
• relative humidity
• spray system nozzle size
• spray system nozzle pressure
• wind speed

The Ecology Evaporators have been designed to maximise evaporation through optimising the nozzle size, pressure and wind speed; specifically:

• nozzle sizes of 1-2mm
• nozzle pressure of 15bar
• wind speed of more than 100km/h

As air temperature and humidity are a significant factor in evaporation rates, the evaporation rates that are achieved will vary from site to site and day to day. Most locations in Australia should achieve evaporation rates from 50% to 95%.

Where it is not practical to spray them over the water source these units can be sprayed over land areas (with limited wetting). This is principally due to the large coverage areas and high evaporation rates

The Ecology Evaporators requires an external power supply in addition to the water. Both units have a booster pump to get the pressure to 15bar, but the unit requires flooded suction (ie pressure > 0bar).
